Policy: – I intend to enter the Storting to get through several popular fair climate measures and get a better policy to create jobs throughout the country, he says to The nation.

After Une Bastholm stepped down as MDG leader in 2022, Hermstad took over the baton. In addition to being party leader, he is currently elected to the municipal council in Oslo.

Currently in June, the MDG is 2.9 per cent on the average of the opinion polls, according to Poll of polls. This means that the party risks only getting one mandate in the Storting after the next election, compared to the current three.

– Measurements are measurements, they count during the election. We have a plan for how we will manage to break the barrier in 2025 and bring in a large, green group, says Hermstad to the Nation.
