BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, SEPT 23 – Various parties in the country continue to fuel the celebration of the Maulud of the Prophet Muhammad SAW by holding religious ceremonies including special talks.
In conjunction with the celebration, the Ministry of Finance and Economy and its departments have organized a Special Lecture for 2024 at the Ministry’s Theater Hall today.
Present as the guest of honor at the ceremony was the Acting Minister of Finance and Economy, Pengiran Datin Seri Paduka Hajah Zety Sufina binti Pengiran Dato Paduka Haji Sani.
Also present were the Acting Permanent Secretary (Fiscal I), Deputy Permanent Secretary (Trade and Industry), heads of departments and divisions, officers and staff of the Ministry of Finance and Economy as well as departments within it including officers and staff from the Brunei Darussalam Central Bank.
A special lecture titled Rasulullah, the Most Merciful of the Worlds was delivered by Dr. Haji Noralizam bin Haji Aliakbar.
In his talk, among other things, he emphasized that Prophet Muhammad SAW is a light that is a blessing for the whole world.
“Allah SWT Himself confirmed through His words: “We did not send you (O Muhammad), but as a mercy for the whole world. (Surah Al-Anbiya’: 107).
Nature means all creatures created by Allah SWT. Named as nature because it is an address or a sign of the existence, majesty and power of Allah SWT, God of All Nature.
In fact, the Prophet SAW himself said about himself: “O people, I am indeed a grace bestowed.” (hadith narrated by Al-Hakim and At-Tabarani)
Mercy is love and the Prophet SAW was sent solely to bring the message of monotheism, which is to bring people out of the valley of slavery to fellow human beings to simply worship Allah SWT, the One God.
“This treatise on monotheism is delivered with full of grace through the path of da’wah, which is to invite people to believe in Allah SWT,” he explained.
In his lecture, he also explained the grace brought by the Prophet SAW to overcome all thoughts and boundaries guided by the revelation and guidance of Allah SWT, not according to lust and the logic of reason.
“Only with the revelation and guidance of Allah SWT will lead people to the path of truth and success, he stressed.
He added, Muslims need to strive to strengthen themselves to obey and obey every teaching brought by His Majesty SAW.
“Allah SWT also reminds us to accept the teachings of the Prophet SAW with all our hearts and never ignore them,” he added.
In addition to sharing in Surah Al-Hasyr, verse 7 which means: “What the messenger gives you, then accept. And what he forbids you, leave it. And fear God. Indeed, God is very severe in His punishment.”
Earlier, the ceremony was graced with a Dikir performance from the ministry’s members before ending with the Sultan’s Prayer and the closing prayer.
