Crime and justice: – Interesting traces have been found on this jacket which the police believe are important to the case. We cannot comment on what type of traces have been found, beyond the fact that they are biological traces, says police attorney Liv Hilde Nytrøen to Dagbladet.

Sønstvedt was reported missing by the family on 12 January this year. His burnt remains were later found on the farm where he lived.

Later in January, the woman, who is in her 40s, was arrested. She also lived on the farm.

Lawyer Svein Holden has recently been appointed as the new defender for the accused woman, who denies criminal guilt.

– She has explained herself to the police about the jacket, and maintains that she is innocent in the case, says Holden to Dagbladet.
