The program to strengthen Arabic language skills continues

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, NOV 24 – In an effort to foster interest and improve speaking skills in Arabic among students, the Program Hayya Ilal ‘Arabiyyah (Let’s Speak Arabic) organized by the Department of Islamic Studies (JPI), continued at Hassanal Bolkiah Boys’ Arabic High School yesterday.

Present as a Special Guest for the event was the Acting Director of Islamic Studies at the Ministry of Religious Affairs, Dayang Hajah Mariana binti Haji Jamil.

The ceremony began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah and a prayer, followed by a speech from the chairman of the ceremony, the Principal of Hassanal Bolkiah Boys’ Arabic High School, Dayang Hajah Azizah binti Haji Mohamad.

Programs with themes Shariah Objectives that is to raise awareness about its importance in learning, career and daily life of school citizens.

In order to achieve the objectives of the program, the school has organized an Infographic Creation Competition for the individual category and a Video Creation Competition for the class category which is open to the school’s students.

The ceremony then continued with a performance and video screening of the winners, followed by the presentation of prizes and ended with a visit to the exhibition stand.

The program is one of the initiatives of the Department of Islamic Studies which is run by Arab schools to strengthen the mastery of the Arabic language in addition to fostering a healthy competitive spirit among Arab school students.
