BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, NOV 7 – The Syariah Court of Brunei Darussalam, yesterday, attended the All Malaysia 2024 Syariah High Court Judges Conference and a bilateral discussion with the Honorable Judge of the Federal Territories Syariah High Court, Kuala Lumpur.
The Muzakarah held at the Tenera Hotel, Bangi Selangor, Malaysia was attended by the Syariah High Court Judge, Yang Arif Haji Muhammad Bahrin bin Haji Alias.
According to the statement received, the meeting is a step forward for cooperation between Brunei and Malaysia in the field of Sharia law and justice through the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between the Syariah Courts and the Department of Sharia Justice Malaysia (JKSM) in the field of Sharia justice that has been implemented .
The meeting was organized by the Secretarial Registration and Records Division (BPKR), JKSM which involved judges of the Syariah High Court throughout Malaysia.
At the same time, the Honorable Haji Muhammad Bahrin also held a bilateral discussion with the Honorable Judge of the Federal Territories Syariah High Court, Kuala Lumpur.
Through these talks and discussions, it is hoped that we will be able to further strengthen the strong relationship especially in the field of Sharia justice between Brunei and Malaysia.
