Culture and entertainment: – Hans Rotmo is undergoing long-term cancer treatment, so all concerts with Vømmøl Spellmannslag in 2024 will be moved to 2025, Rotmo manager Ole Waage from Nama management and events tells the newspaper Inherred.

Vømmøl Spellmannslag was supposed to celebrate 50 years with a record and tour, but now the tour has been postponed until next year. The album “Vømmøl Kommune” will arrive as planned on 1 May on all streaming platforms.

– The treatment is working and Hans is in good spirits – and we still hope that we can do a small round of “Spring Christmas” on the eve of the year, Waage continues.

Vømmøl Spellmannslag has been around since 1974. It was the first band in Norwegian rock to release an album in dialect in 1974. It was called “Vømmøl’n”, and was followed by “Vømlingen” the following year and “Vømmølåret” in 1984, before several compilation albums followed.

Rotmo is the man behind all the songs.
