Sport: It lasted for an 8th place. Italian Leonardo Fabbri took the gold ahead of Filip Mihaljević from Croatia and Polish Michal Haratyk.

– It has been approved, but I don’t know what happened. I’m so annoyed and pissed off that I couldn’t get anything more out. Today was not the day, and that’s just the way it is, Thomsen told NRK.

– It’s a crappy day at work, he continued.

Thomsen opened the EC final with 19.98 metres, before he followed up with 20.42 meters in his second attempt. It stood as his best.

His next four strokes finished at 20.24, 20.11, 20.34 and 20.20.

In the qualification, Thomsen held out with a jump of 20.69 meters and thus secured a place in the final by a good margin.

In 2022, Thomsen finished ninth in the European Championships in Munich. Thomsen’s personal best in the exercise is 21.09. It was set back in 2021 in Sweden.

– The aim is to do better than what I did there, said the 26-year-old from Voss to NRK before the qualification.
