Social conditions: – There could be a question about this with the reduction in the number of foster children, whether it should be dealt with by a tribunal or not, says the Minister for Children and Families to Television 2.

Fetal reduction is an intervention in which the pregnancy ends for one or more foetuses, while others develop further.

The SP minister has already announced that she will dissent against extending the limit for self-determined abortion. Here, AP’s primary position is an extension to week 18, while SP has stated in its program that they stand for the current limit of week 12.

Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre (Ap) promised as recently as 17 April that the amendment to the law would be sent to the Storting before the summer, but on Wednesday he and the newly appointed Minister of Health Jan Christian Vestre (Ap) informed Television 2 that the proposal will not come until the autumn. Toppe is happy with that.

– I think it is good that we can spend a little longer, and that the Storting can spend a little longer. In any case, it will be an important law to deal with, about which many people have opinions, says Toppe.
