Sport: The Greek secured a ticket to the final with the numbers 6-4, 3-6, 6-4.

In the final awaits the winner of the showdown between world number one Novak Djokovic and Norwegian tennis ace Casper Ruud.

Tsitsipas got off to a dream start in the semi-finals when he broke Sinner’s second service game and went up to a 2-1 lead. That gave him the edge he needed before he served out the first set for a 6-4 victory.

However, the second set started more difficult for the Greek when Sinner broke Tsitsipas’ first serve and quickly gained a 3-0 lead. In the end, the Italian won the set 6-3 and thus extended the match.

Tsitsipas didn’t get off to a good start in the third and decisive set either, when he was again broken in the first serve. Sinner really came close to putting the nail in the coffin two sets later, but Tsitsipas kept hope alive when he finally secured the serve game.

Instead, the Greek managed to break Sinner back and equalize at 4-4, before finally securing the victory 6-4.

Tsitsipas reached the semi-finals after beating Karen Khatjanov in straight sets. Sinner, on the other hand, secured promotion after he had to go out in a third set against the Danish Holger Rune.
