LOS ANGELES, NOV 24 – Two people died and another was seriously injured in a plane crash in Colorado, United States (US) overnight, confirmed by local authorities, reports Xinhua.
Larimer County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Ali Adams said in a briefing that a Civil Air Patrol plane carrying three people crashed at 11:12 a.m. local time in the Mount Storm area.
According to a press release from the governor’s office, the three individuals on board, all of whom had served as volunteers in the Civil Air Patrol, were conducting a “routine training mission for aerial photography training” when the crash occurred.
The Civil Air Patrol, a non-profit agency is an official auxiliary unit of the US Air Force.
In Colorado, the Civil Air Patrol’s mission includes search and rescue efforts for lost hikers and hunters, searching for crashed aircraft and transporting emergency personnel and medical supplies. – Named
