BEREA, Ohio – An East Bridge Street couple called police at about 11 p.m. Sept. 21 and said that two unidentified young males stole several political signs supporting presidential candidate Kamala Harris from their front yard.
Security video showed the males but their faces weren’t visible. After taking the signs, the males crumbled the signs and discarded them nearby. One of the signs was dropped onto a bush.
One of the males walked away and the other entered a neighboring property. The couple said the male went into the house on that property to attend a party there.
Police visited the neighboring house. Most of the people who lived there said they were not familiar with the two males.
However, one of the residents living in the house believed he might have been acquainted with one of the males, although he didn’t know his last name or where he lived.
The resident gave police his phone number and said he would call them if he encountered the male again or learned his last name.
The East Bridge couple said they wanted to pursue criminal charges against the males if police identified them.
