UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS, Ohio — The sale is finally complete. The University Heights City Hall Facebook page re-posted Friday (Sept. 27) a news article stating that the sale of University Square to developers Brad Kowit and Gregg Levy closed on Monday (Sept. 23).
Work will begin early next year, following the holiday shopping season, on peeling back the garage to a smaller size, and one that allows in more sunlight. To many, the garage served as a symbol for the failure of University Square, which opened in 2003 and, within its first decade began its decline to the blighted site it became.
