– It went quietly and calmly, says operations manager Thomas Kahn in the Oslo police district to NTB.

LO leader Peggy Hessen gave the keynote speech at Youngstorget, where in her speech she demanded an end to the occupation and that Palestine be recognized as a separate state.

– Today, thousands have turned up to show their anger and despair over Israel’s brutal war against civilians in Gaza and Russia’s war against people in Ukraine, she said at the beginning of the speech.

This year’s speakers were LO leader Peggy Hessen Følsvik, chairman of Norwegian People’s Aid Jan Olav Andersen and chairman of IF Metall’s central youth committee, Emil Moum-Rönnborg.
