WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) – Via Christi St. Joseph will relocate its emergency department entrance beginning Tuesday, Nov. 26.
The hospital says the relocation is part of a $22 million improvement project to increase beds and add psychiatric observation and stabilization areas.
Patients and visitors arriving by private vehicle should follow the signs on South Clifton Avenue to the temporary entrance on the hospital’s north side. EMS arrivals will also relocate to the hospital’s north side. The temporary entrances will be in place for approximately one year during construction. The hospital also says the parking lot along the hospital’s west side will close. Signage will direct patients and visitors to a parking lot north of the hospital.
Construction on the project should be complete by spring 2026.
