Sport: With a win at home in the first game, the Vipers could decide the best of three series in Hamar on Friday. There, the teams followed each other closely before the break, but after the break the Vipers picked up the pace.

Dutch Lois Abbingh was the top scorer for the winning team with her nine goals. Vipers have taken all series and NM titles since Larvik’s hegemony was broken in the 2017/18 season.

– It’s very nice. We pulled it off now too, and it’s another final we’ve won in Norway. It is important to build on this, because we have a lot to go on, said Marta Tomac to TV 2.

With victory in the first match against Vipers, the Vipers completed their 100th consecutive triumph in Norwegian tournaments, and on Friday the 124th match came as undefeated. The previous loss in a domestic game was against Storhamar in February 2020.

The Vipers led by one goal at halftime and then turned the tide in the second half. The southerners gained a four-goal lead at the halfway point and did not relinquish the lead en route to victory.

The play-off win gives the Vipers a place in the Champions League next season as well. The Kristiansand team had won three straight CL titles before the streak was broken in this year’s season.

Recently, Storhamar became the first Norwegian team to win the Europa League (level two). The Hamar team has the opportunity to apply for a place in the championship next season.
