MIDDLEBURG HEIGHTS, Ohio –
Arrest warrant served: Bagley Road
A wanted Euclid man, 29, was arrested at about 3:30 p.m. Nov. 22 after he tried to buy a firearm at Fin Feather Fur Outfitters, 18030 Bagley.
A store worker called police after running a background check on the man and discovering that he was wanted in Ottawa County.
Police found the man in the rear section of the store. They took him to Middleburg Heights jail, where deputies from the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office picked him up.
Disorderly conduct: Bagley Road
A Cleveland woman, 35, was taken to Southwest General Health Center on Bagley at about 3 p.m. Nov. 16 after she passed out in Olive Garden, 17500 Bagley.
When police and paramedics arrived, the woman was slurring her words and falling over. She passed out between two chairs.
The woman said she had taken all of her methadone, a medication that treats narcotic addiction, and wanted to go to the hospital.
Police knew the woman. Earlier that day, a worker at MainStay Suites on Engle Road called police and said the woman was falling over and disrupting business.
Arrest warrant served: Bagley Road
A wanted Cleveland man, 37, was arrested Nov. 24 outside Red Roof Inn, 17555 Bagley.
At about 10 a.m., police checked the license plate number of a Kia Optima parked in the hotel lot. They learned that several warrants had been issued for the man’s arrest.
Red Roof workers confirmed with police that the car’s owner, the Cleveland man, was staying at the hotel and was scheduled to check out at 11 a.m.
Police staked out the car. At about 11:08 a.m., the man walked to his Kia. Police placed him in handcuffs.
Driving with a suspended license: Big Creek Parkway
A Strongsville man, 55, was given several traffic citations at about 9:30 a.m. Nov. 24 after police caught him driving with a suspended license.
Police saw the man driving southbound on Engle Road. They checked his license plate number and learned that the plate had expired in January.
Police pulled over the man’s car after he had turned onto eastbound Fowles Road, then southbound onto Big Creek.
Police unscrewed the license plate from the car. They noticed a number “1″ written in black marker on the plate in front of the printed number “1″ on the license sticker, making it seem that the plate’s expiration date was in November instead of January.
Arrest warrant served, jaywalking: Bagley Road
A wanted Cleveland man, 38, was arrested at about 8:30 a.m. Nov. 8 after police spotted him jaywalking on Bagley near Speedway, 17650 Bagley.
The man and a woman were crossing Bagley outside any crosswalk. Traffic was heavy and cars had to stop to avoid hitting them.
The man was wanted in Strongsville for theft. Also, the Ohio State Highway Patrol wanted the man for a probation violation.
Arrest warrant served, jaywalking: Bagley Road
A wanted Cleveland woman, 44, was arrested at about noon Nov. 24 after police observed her jaywalking on Bagley near Speedway, 17650 Bagley.
The woman walked from Red Roof Inn across Bagley toward Speedway and back again. Both times she was nowhere near a crosswalk.
Police stopped the woman and learned that the Ohio Adult Parole Authority wanted her for a parole violation.
