Working life: – The most important thing for us in this settlement was an increased basic salary. We have managed to achieve that with a high kroner amount that benefits everyone, says union leader Brede Edvardsen of the Norwegian Workers’ Union.

Parat’s negotiation leader, Lars Petter Larsen, says the watchmen receive NOK 13.50 in general allowance. In addition to this, the parties agree on NOK 2, which will come on top of the result in the mid-year settlement in 2025. Solutions have also been found to counteract short shifts.

– None of us has control over future price increases, but everything indicates that members and employees will receive a wage increase that is higher than the price increase through this settlement, says Larsen.

– We are happy to have come to an end with a demanding settlement, says managing director Anne-Cecilie Kaltenborn, in NHO Service og Handel.

This year, the parties have prioritized recruitment to the industry and valuing competence, according to Kaltenborn.

The collective agreement covers 8,685 man-years in NHO Service and Trade member companies.
