Sport: Albert Grønbæk sent Glimt into the lead, but Dahl ensured that the teams were equal at half-time.

The 20-year-old came from YMCA to Glimt last summer, but did not get an official match for Glimt’s A team until he was loaned back to YMCA ahead of the current season.

Before Friday’s match, Glimt coach Kjetil Knutsen stated that Dahl was “100 nautical miles away from playing a match” due to his physical condition. On Friday, the forward hit back hard with a goal.

– It was amazing. It was nice to have someone eat their words a little. There has been a lot of excitement and joy. I have wanted to play here for a long time, so it was good to finally be able to do it, said Dahl to TV 2 during the break.

In the second half, Johannes Hummelvoll Nuñez ensured that YMCA took the lead, but Jens Petter Hauge ensured a draw.

– A wonderfully executed match, but then we become too weak. We should have won this game. We are not a silly team. I’m damn unhappy, Nuñez told TV 2.

Glimt smoke 0-1 for HamKam last round. The yellow-clad team still lead the Eliteserien with two points down to Brann when both teams have played ten games. Third-placed Fredrikstad are three points behind with one game less played.

Both teams will face Sandefjord in their next league match. Glimt welcomes the Vestfoldings on 29 May, while YMCA meets them on 2 June at home.

The home team missed a great double chance after just under 20 minutes, but they were still to score before the break. Hauge won the ball high and rushed forward. He then made his way into the field before playing the ball in to Grønbæk, who put it into the goal from close range.

The match wavered at the start of the 2nd half, and after 63 minutes the visitors were in front again. They played good football, and eventually Nuñez got the ball inside the box. He dragged it with him and knocked it into the goal to wild cheers.

But the goal rush did not end there. The quarter before the end, the hosts played well going forward, and Nino Zugelj found Hauge with a good pass. The winger put his left foot on the ball and watched it go into the far corner.

Afterwards, both teams had chances to win, but it ended with the points being shared.

YMCA’s strong away performance against Glimt came just weeks after they beat Rosenborg 3-1 away, and they have also played 0-0 against Brann.

But the guests should also get a buzz before the break. Odin Bjørtuft’s header back to goalkeeper Nikita Haikin was too weak, and Dahl was ice cold when he put the ball into the goal alone with the goalkeeper.
