Where to watch Lions game today: Free live stream on Thanksgiving

DETROIT, Michigan — The Detroit Lions take the NFL’s best record into their annual Thanksgiving game, hosting their NFC North rival Chicago Bears today at Ford Field. The game kicks off at 12:30 p.m. Eastern on CBS and Paramount Plus.

Several streaming services will broadcast the Nov. 28 game live and you can watch on Fubo (free trial and $30 off your first month), DirecTV Stream (free trial) or Paramount+ (free trial).

The first-place Lions (10-1) are on a nine-game winning streak but haven’t won on Thanksgiving since 2016. Led by rookie quarterback Caleb Williams, the Bears (4-7) are better than their last-place record indicates. So, grab a turkey leg, pull up a chair and watch some football as the Pilgrims (probably) intended.

Check out a complete rundown of NFL Week 13 action, including the schedule, predictions, previews, TV information and more.

LIONS – BEARS Matchup Preview

Detroit head coach Dan Campbell has his team dominating on both sides of the ball. The Lions’ three-headed monster — quarterback Jared Goff, wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown and running back Jahmyr Gibbs — lead the way on offense, which is ranked No. 1 in scoring and No. 2 in yards.

On defense, the Lions haven’t missed a beat after pass rusher Aidan Hutchinson and linebacker Alex Anzalone to injuries in recent weeks. The unit hasn’t given up a touchdown in 10 straight quarters and hasn’t allowed more than one touchdown pass in any game this season.

The Bears, meanwhile, started off strong, going 4-2 before losing five in a row, though three of those losses came down to the final play. Williams, the No. 1 pick in draft out of USC, is coming off his best game as a pro, throwing for 340 yards and two touchdowns to rally the team from a 14-point deficit in the fourth quarter and force overtime against the Vikings. He’ll need more help from the Chicago defense, which gave up a whopping 452 of total offense to Minnesota. The performance was a bit of anomaly as the team surrenders only 19.7 points a game, eighth best in the league.

LIONS – BEARS Last Game Recap

The Lions have been playing on Thanksgiving since 1934, going 37-45-2. The Bears, however, have a three-game winning streak against them on Turkey Day. Still, the Lions are 10.5-point favorites to win.

Lions: Beat Colts, 24-6, for their sixth straight win on the road. Their 10-1 record is their best start since 1934 and is tied with the Chiefs for best in the league this season.

Bears: Lost to Vikings, 30-27, at home in overtime. Williams has thrown for 571 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions in two games under new offensive coordinator Thomas Brown.

LIONS – BEARS Players to Watch

Lions kicker Jake Bates has made all 16 of his field goal attempts this season.
