I would encourage you to look into what happened to FirstEnergy’s 2023 class-action lawsuit settlement awards paid digitally to customers via a firm called Tremendous. I downloaded the card and recently looked at my balance, which was $0. Tremendous charged a nonuse monthly fee, which wiped out the balance. Was this a clever way not to pay out 100% of the settlement?
