But which contestant left the show last night and what else happened during the episode? Here’s what you need to know.
Who has left the I’m a Celebrity jungle?
Seann Walsh was announced as the celebrity with the fewest public votes during Friday’s show by hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly. During his time on I’m A Celebrity, Walsh described how after he was pictured kissing his Strictly Come Dancing co-star Katya Jones, his agent said his “career was dead”.
The comedian was on the front of national newspapers in October 2018 when he was pictured kissing Jones, while he was in a relationship with actress Rebecca Humphries. At the time Katya Jones was married to Neil Jones, also a Strictly dancer.
He told fellow comedian Babatunde Aleshe, on an earlier episode before Aleshe was eliminated, it was “easily the most depressing month of my entire life, Edinburgh after Strictly. “Just before I’m about to go on (and do a show), my agent comes in and goes, ‘Just so you know, there’s like 30 people’.”
He told hosts of the ITV show Anthony McPartlin and Declan Donnelly that the former health secretary is a “lovely guy” and “he’s still in there for a reason”.
“No one was expecting Matt Hancock to be there,” he added.
Walsh and Hancock entered the Australian jungle together as they joined as undercover moles after the other celebrities had arrived.
They then had to undertake a series of missions in secret before revealing they were the moles to the other campmates, earning them treats.
“We all listened to each other in there,” Walsh said on Friday when he was eliminated.
“I don’t know if that is common in the jungle…and everyone kind of got their story out and there was so much support and I feel like everyone in there, not just for me, but I think we all accepted one another for who we are today.”
Walsh said he wanted former England player Jill Scott to win the whole show.
The final four is Matt Hancock, Mike Tindall, Jill Scott and Owen Warner.
Who else has left?
Radio host Chris Moyles was the sixth contestant to be eliminated from I’m a Celeb.
Comedian Babatunde Aleshe was the fifth contestant to be eliminated from I’m A Celeb. The 36-year-old said: “I loved it in there but I needed my freedom… Living in it has been a whole different experience.”
Pop star Boy George was the fourth contestant to be eliminated from I’m A Celeb. The Culture Club singer, 61, said on his exit: “I am sort of ready, I’ve had an amazing time, I’ve done a lot of things I never thought I’d do.”
Soap star Sue Cleaver was the third contestant to be eliminated from the ITV show. The Coronation Street actress, who has played Eileen Grimshaw in the soap since 2000, also revealed that she initially found taking part in the ITV reality show difficult as she is “quite a private person”.
Scarlette Douglas was named as the second contestant to be eliminated. On leaving the jungle, the A Place In The Sun presenter, 35, said: “I’m absolutely gutted I’m not even going to lie about it. I know that some people wanted to leave and I was like ‘I’m not ready to go yet’. I wanted to stay for as long as possible because those people are amazing and the jungle is incredible.”
Charlene White was the first contestant to be voted off. The 42-year-old Loose Women star said: “This is really, really weird.” White was also asked by McPartlin and Donnelly about her maternal presence in the camp, to which she replied: “Once you are a parent, you take on this role wherever you go. ”
What happened on last night’s show?
Elsewhere in the episode, Moyles had questioned Hancock about the workings of Westminster and how an MP can move between cabinet offices without prior experience in the area.Hancock, who is currently the MP for West Suffolk and has faced criticism from across the political divide for joining the reality show at a time when Parliament is sitting, opened up about how the process of a cabinet reshuffle works.
He said: “I’ll tell you exactly what happens. It’s reshuffle day and the first thing the Prime Minister does is call the people who he or she is going to fire and invites them into the office in the House of Commons. That way the cameras can’t see them coming and going. Face-to-face. These are very sensitive conversations. Then they go into Downing Street and they call people in in order of seniority. They have a whiteboard with all of the cabinet positions on it and they go from senior down.”
I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! continues on ITV1 and ITV Hub on Friday at 9pm.
Who is still in the jungle?
The remaining contestants are:
- Owen Warner
- Jill Scott
- Mike Tindall
- Matt Hancock
- Seann Walsh
