During his Britain’s Got Talent audition, he revealed how he grew up surrounded by music.

He stated that his “father sang Calypso”, and his siblings “were also singers”.

Gamal told the BGT judges he worked in a warehouse at night, whilst also working as a carpenter.

He is the first ever act to receive a golden buzzer from a judge who had already used their buzzer for another act.

Gamal is very active on social media, and uses it as away to promote his music.

On Instagram you can follow him on his popular handle @gamalartist1.

However, he doesn’t appear to have a TikTok page, although fans have been posting his BGT audition on the platform.

Is Gamal John married and does he have children?

Gamal is married, but he hasn’t revealed the identity of his wife.

The couple have a young son, who joined his dad on stage during his audition.

Gamal revealed to the BGT judges that it was his boy who had encouraged him to audition for the ITV show.

Who hit the golden buzzer for Gamal John?

For his Britain’s Got Talent audition, John performed It’s A Man’s Man’s World by James Brown.

His performance was so powerful, that the singer received a standing ovation and was soon inundated with chants from the audience for the judges to push the golden buzzer – despite all of these chances being used up.

As Alesha Dixon offered up some words to Gamal, Bruno Tonioli swooped in and hit the buzzer leaving Amanda Holden and Simon Cowell open-mouthed.

Amanda placed her hands on Bruno’s shoulders as she shook him and exclaimed: “You only get one!”

She then added: “Oh my god, this is chaos!”

Alesha was also stunned as she asked a hapless Bruno: “What have you done to this show?”

With no buzzers being left, the show’s set was not correctly rigged with the golden confetti that usually rains upon the act following their achievement.

Gamal was left overwhelmed albeit a bit confused as the judges were left looking perplexed after the blunder.

Simon later quipped of the situation: “We are about to get fired!

“Bruno is a new judge and if you give something, you can’t take it away.”

Thankfully, Ant and Dec managed to rescue Gamal’s moment as they found two confetti cannons backstage and were able to cover him and his son, who had joined him on stage, in glitter.

Bruno originally gave his golden buzzer to the Ghetto Kids on the first day of auditions, and wasn’t meant to push it again.
