LIMA, PERU, NOV 14 – His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, today left to visit the Escuela Naval de Peru (Naval School of Peru) in La Punta, Callao, Republic of Peru.
Leaving to accompany His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam is His Royal Highness Pengiran Muda ‘Abdul Mateen.
The arrival of His Majesty His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam was welcomed by the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Peru, His Excellency Walter Astudillo; Chief Naval School of PeruReal Admiral Luis Leon Cores and several senior officers of the Navy of the Republic of Peru.
His Majesty then crossed the Static Control Line towards the Admiral Grau memorial monument to attend the Floral Offering Ceremony. His Majesty then went to Edificio Aguirre to watch the show of the Peruvian Marine Corps Fanning Company and then attended the Luncheon.
Before leaving, His Majesty signed the Visitor’s Book and received a prayer. Naval School of Peru is an institution responsible for undergraduate education for prospective officers of the Peruvian Navy, focusing on six pillars of training which are academic; naval forces; physical; sociocultural; nautical; ethics and morals.
Upon successful completion of the five-year program, cadets will earn a Bachelor’s Degree in Naval Maritime Science, and receive the rank of Frigate Ensign.
