The car stopped in Wichita at Garver, an engineering firm, to inspire kids to explore careers in technology.

“We convert classic cars electric like this ’69 Chevelle SS. Travis has seen the car many times. He has hosted us at some of his events, The Kelce Car Jam, recently in October, and he talked about the car on his podcast,” said Oz Qureshi, the director of Mind-Drive.

The car was built by students through MINDDRIVE, a nonprofit that offers after-school programs for students in Kansas City.

Chiefs star Travis Kelce was present during the car’s initial stages of development and even drove it around Kansas City.

The car will be raffled off later this year.
