Economy and business: – Russia’s offensive may consist of several waves. The first wave was in the Kharkiv region, says Zelenskyj in an interview with the French news agency AFP.

In 2022, Russian forces managed to reach the outskirts of the Ukrainian capital Kyiv. But they won’t be able to do that again, says Zelenskyj.

– They do not have enough forces to carry out a full-scale offensive against the capital, as they did at the beginning of the invasion, he says, adding that Russia’s main target is the Donbas region in eastern Ukraine.

The president says that Ukraine needs more air defense and more fighter jets to counterbalance Russia’s capabilities in the air.

– We currently have around 25 percent of what we need to defend Ukraine. I’m talking about air defense. As for aircraft, so that Russia does not have superiority in the air, our fleet should consist of 120-130 modern aircraft, Zelenskyy says.

In the interview, he admits that Ukraine lacks soldiers, and he says that there are problems with morale.
