War and conflicts: For Belgium, Prime Minister Alexander De Croo signs, the government of the country informs. The two will also hold a press conference together.

During his visit to Belgium, Zelenskyj will also visit an air base, where he will meet the instructors who train Ukrainian pilots who will use F-16 aircraft.

Zelenskyy is asking for more military aid from Western countries as his country’s forces struggle to hold off Russian invasion forces.

On Monday he visited Spain, which has already signed a security agreement with Ukraine. There was a promise of military aid for 1 billion euros – around NOK 11.4 billion.

Ukraine has signed a number of such agreements with Western countries, in which the countries commit to long-term aid in the form of military equipment and training of Ukrainian forces. Last week, Zelenskyj stated that Norway and Ukraine have finalized a bilateral security agreement, which will be signed at the first meeting.

After the visit to Belgium, President Zelenskyj is expected to go on to Portugal, according to the AFP news agency.
