100 STJ PGGMB students were taught to value cleanliness

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, SEPT 17 – A total of 100 students of Tunas Jaya School, Brunei Malay Teachers’ Federation (STJ PGGMB) Lambak, attended a roadshow about the offense of littering in public places, recently.

The roadshow held at the school was organized by the Enforcement Division of the Criminal Offenses Act (Amendment 2021) of the Brunei and Muara District Office, Ministry of Home Affairs with the aim of raising awareness among school children about the offenses of littering in public places in this country.

The briefing was delivered by two officers from the division led by Dayangku Noradinawati Binti Pengiran Sulaiman and Awang Sizali bin Md Yassin.

Also present at the ceremony was the Secretary General of PGGMB, Haji Mustapa bin Haji Masri as well as the teaching staff of the school.

Headmaster of STJ PGGMB, Haji Roslan bin Haji Md Hassan in his welcome speech explained, among other things, “this roadshow is a right action by selecting students at the primary education level who are flexible. They can receive warnings and advice especially on issues of littering everywhere and legal action against offenders.”

The roadshow was also filled with interaction with the students through a question and answer session on the issue of garbage disposal, which activities have successfully attracted the attention of the students.

The STJ PGGMB expressed its gratitude to the Brunei and Muara District Office for choosing the school to participate in the program.
