ROCKY RIVER, Ohio – Tartine Bistro has a pair of wine tastings coming up.
First, winemaker Francesca Bonfadini of Bonfadini Wines will guide a tasting of four wines at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 16. Charcuterie will be served.
All wines are non-vintage except one:
• Bonfadini Franciacorta Brut Carpe Diem Satan
• Bonfadini Franciacorta Brut Nobilium
• Bonfadini Franciacorta Brut Nature Veritas
• 2019 Bonfadini Terra Curtefranca Rosso
Cost is $55.
Then, at 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 8, the restaurant will hold a four-course dinner paired with French wines.
Menu
• Amuse-bouche croquettes de poulet – charred bell-pepper sauce, thyme, crispy chicken skin. Wine: 2019 Château Le Gay, Pomerol.
• Magret de canard – charred heirloom carrot, Parmesan froth, fennel caraway honey. Wine: 2017 Chateau Smith Haut Lafitte, Pessac-Lêognan.
• Frisée salade – French feta, pickled chanterelles, maple lardon, saffron vinaigrette. Wine: 2016 La Clartede Haut-Brion Blanc.
• Joue de boeuf braisée, parsnip purée, garlic chip, Bordeaux demi. Wine: 2019 Château Palmer, Margaux.
• Cannele (pastry) – dark chocolate mousse, candied persimmon. 2020 Chateau Rieussec Sauternes 1er Grand Cru Classe.
Cost is $125.
