ISTANBUL, SEPT 15 – At least 20 people were injured today in an explosion at a pasta factory in northwestern Turkiye’s Sakarya province, local media reported.
The incident happened at the Oba Pasta factory near the Anatolia Highway in the industrial zone of Hendek district, reported Halk TV.
According to the news channel, an explosion occurred in a production boiler and caused a fire.
Firefighters and ambulances were immediately dispatched to the scene, noting that the exact number of workers present at the time of the explosion remains unclear.
The injured, including the workers, have been taken to a nearby hospital, he added. – Xinhua
