BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, 24 OCT – In an effort to support environmental sustainability, a total of 20 dedicated volunteers from Bank Baiduri, through Baiduri Cares, have participated in the Program Reef Ball Fabrication organized by LAUT Brunei, yesterday.
The program is a post-program activity in recognition of Bank Baiduri’s support as a sponsor for Ocean Week Brunei which was held for the first time last June.
The program started with a talk on marine conservation delivered by Poni Divers Marketing Manager, Donna Baltazar.
Throughout the program, the Baiduri Bank volunteers involved had the opportunity to build 14 reef balls, turning raw materials into important structures aimed at helping improve the marine ecosystem.
At the end of the program, a gift of appreciation was presented to Bank Baiduri through the Assistant Manager of Corporate and Brand Communications and the CSR Lead at the Strategic Marketing and Communications Group, Awang Muiz DP Haji Adnan.
In addition, all participants also received their respective certificates to recognize them as certified Reef Ball fabricators.
Looking ahead, Bank Baiduri is excited to join the program Reef Ball Discovery will come together with Poni Divers and LAUT Brunei, which will focus on placing reef balls and carrying out coral planting activities at Pelong Rocks, Serasa.
