BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, 25 OCT – A total of 28 students of the Brunei International School of Religion received their certificates at the Certificate Presentation Ceremony of the Secondary Religious Schools (SSSRU) Grade 6 Year 2023 which was held at the Brunei International School Theater (ISB), today.

Present as the guest of honor at the ceremony was the Acting Deputy Permanent Secretary (Policy and Religion), Ministry of Religious Affairs (KHEU), Haji Shamshol bin Haji Omar and then completed the presentation of certificates to the celebrated students.

The ceremony began with the recitation of Surah Al Fatihah by Awang Ahmad Padilah bin Haji Rabaha and was followed by a welcome speech by the Headmaster of the Brunei International School of Religion, Hajah Intan Khairani binti PSKDPSS Dr Ustaz Haji Awang Yahya.

In his welcome speech, among other things, he underlined that the presentation of this certificate is not just a symbol of academic success, but a sign of the hard work and perseverance shown by the students throughout the year and every certificate received today reflects the hard work, commitment and determination of the students in achieving excellence.

He also emphasized that the success achieved is not the final destination, but a beginning where the student’s life journey is still long and he hopes that the students will continue to be enthusiastic in gaining knowledge and experience.

“In addition, use the knowledge gained to build a brighter and useful future for religion, race and even the country,” he explained.

In addition, he also reminded the students that whatever the twists and turns of life, they will definitely experience various challenges, success or failure is all up to themselves.

“Despite experiencing failure, he stressed, it does not mean that it is an end point to give up and not have a chance, rather it is a beginning to improve what is lacking,” he added.

He further said, “The success of today’s children will not be achieved without the support, prayers and sacrifices of all parents, because parents are the backbone of their success and their continued support will be the impetus for excellence in the future.”

Among other things, the purpose of this event is to celebrate and appreciate the success of the students in the past SSSRU exams as well as to encourage and motivate the students to achieve more success in the future.

The ceremony was graced with the recitation of the usual surahs by the students of Grade 6 of the school and ended with the recitation of the Doa Selamat by Awang Mohd Nuzul Haqimie bin Junaidi.
