BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, SEPT 25 – A total of 30 male and female students under the Joint Scholarship Program of Hengyi Industries Sdn Bhd and Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD) were celebrated today in conjunction with their successful completion of their studies at Zhejiang University (ZJU).
The ceremony which took place in the UBD Chancellor’s Hall was completed by the UBD Vice Chancellor, Dr Hazri bin Haji Kifle as the guest of honor and presented certificates to the celebrated students. All the students have successfully completed their studies Bachelor of Chemical and Process Engineering at ZJU.
At the ceremony, the Dean of the Faculty of Integrated Technology, UBD, Dr Juliana binti Haji Zaini, in her welcome speech, among other things, expressed her appreciation and joy for the outstanding achievements, resilience and commitment of the students as well as their ability to overcome challenges throughout their academic journey so far in two famous universities.
Meanwhile, representing the comrades who were celebrated at the ceremony, Jerick Yap Raymundo also expressed a sincere speech by sharing the cohort’s experiences, personal development and aspirations, while emphasizing the strength of the bond formed while they followed the study program.
The male and female students are the 10th group to follow a four-year joint scholarship program including two years of academic study at UBD, followed by one year at ZJU, and ending with six months of industrial training and another six months of training with Hengyi Industries.
