A man is said to have threatened a pregnant woman in Neu-Hohenschönhausen with a knife and seriously injured a 30-year-old man. The unknown man is said to have followed the 20-year-old to her apartment door on Tuesday afternoon, threatened her with a knife and demanded money from her, Berlin police announced on Wednesday. When the woman said she was pregnant, the unknown man is said to have run away without taking anything.
According to the police, the woman later told an acquaintance about the incident. Her partner then tracked down the suspected perpetrator at a snack bar and spoke to him, it was reported. When the unknown man tried to flee, the man allegedly held him back. The suspect then injured the 30-year-old’s hand with a knife and fled, it was reported. The victim was taken to hospital. The police are investigating for attempted aggravated robbery and dangerous bodily harm.
