WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — Open Streets ICT is this Sunday, and Douglas Avenue will be closed.
The event will take place from noon to 5 p.m. 4.1 miles of Douglas will be closed from Bluff Street in College Hill to Glenn Street in Delano. Open Streets’ website says the Wichita Police Department will allow traffic to cross Douglas Ave. at these streets:
- Seneca Street
- McLean Boulevard
- Waco Avenue
- Broadway Street
- Washington Avenue
- Hydraulic Avenue
- Grove Street
- Hillside Avenue
There will be food and street vendors all along the road, with five hubs for family entertainment: West Douglas, Kennedy Plaza, Naftzger Park, Wichita East High School and College Hill Park.
Those in attendance will be able to walk, bike, run and more along Douglas. There will be live music at the event.
