BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, OCT 2 – Four schools successfully advanced to the semi-finals of the An-Najah Quiz Competition held at Junjungan Religious School this afternoon.
The competition was organized by the Religious School Leaders’ Committee (JKPSSU) of Brunei Region IV, Department of Islamic Studies (JPI) which was aimed at Grade 6 students of religious schools in the area.
The successful schools are Pengiran Anak Puteri Amal Umi Kalthum A-Islam Religious School, Mulaut; Panglima Barudin Religious School, Limau Manis; Lumpas Religious School; and Kampung Bolkiah Religious School.
Present as a special guest at the ceremony was the District Islamic Studies Officer for Brunei Region IV, JPI, Ministry of Religious Affairs (KHEU), Hajah Mu’izzah binti Kefli, who also completed the presentation of prizes to the winners.
The program aims to produce excellent students, strengthen understanding in religious subjects as well as foster enthusiasm and motivation among Grade 6 students ahead of the Secondary Religious Schools Certificate Examination (SSSRU).
The event is one of the initiatives of the Religious School Division, JPI under the An-Najah Program to support the KHEU Strategic Plan 2020-2024.
