BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, OCT 9 – The four Veteran Group A teams have earlier confirmed their progress to the quarter finals in the Inter-Ministerial Futsal Tournament in conjunction with the 31st Public Service Day (HPA) with group level matches taking place at the Multipurpose Hall, Sports Complex Negara Hassanal Bolkiah, Berakas, yesterday.
The team from the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports (KKBS) who won four games and one draw topped the group with 5 points while the team from the Ministry of Religious Affairs (KHEU) finished second with 4 points.
In addition, the Ministry of Home Affairs (KHEDN) and Ministry of Health (MOH) teams ranked third and fourth respectively, accompanying the top two teams in Group A to the quarter-finals of the tournament.
The Veteran category competition which is divided into two groups with the participation of 11 teams in Group B will be tested in the match scheduled for October 15.
Among the teams in Group B are the Ministry of Development (MOD), Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism (MPRT), Ministry of Transport and Infocommunications (MTIC), Ministry of Defense (MINDEF), Ministry of Education (MOE).
The futsal tournament run by the KHEDN is intended to increase the potential of players and unearth the talent of players as well as strengthen goodwill and friendly relations among civil servants.
