Now it’s official: Former BVB striker Jadon Sancho will now wear the Chelsea FC jersey. Manchester United announced that the 24-year-old will be loaned to the Premier League rivals from London for one season. The England international sealed his move late on Friday evening, but the announcement was only made on Saturday evening.

Sancho returned to United earlier this summer after spending half a season on loan at his former club Borussia Dortmund. “We wish Jadon the best of luck for the coming season,” United said.

Sancho and United coach Erik ten Hag had a falling out at the start of the preseason. After the coach criticized the dribbling artist’s attitude to training, Sancho accused him of lying on social media. He was then suspended.

BVB then loaned out Sancho, who had already played for the Black and Yellows from 2017 to 2021, and hoped for another loan. Sancho moved to Manchester in 2021 for 85 million euros. At the beginning of the summer, he returned to United and spoke to ten Hag. Nevertheless, the striker has now been loaned to Chelsea FC.
