High temperatures are expected in Berlin and Brandenburg. After a sunny start, showers and thunderstorms with heavy rain are expected, particularly in the western parts of Brandenburg, according to the German Weather Service (DWD). There will also be gusts of wind and hail locally. Maximum temperatures will be between 30 and 33 degrees.

There will be only a few clouds in the sky overnight into Wednesday. There will be thunderstorms at first, then only isolated showers are expected. There will be fog in some places – with lows between 16 and 20 degrees.

On Wednesday it will remain sunny on the Oder and Neisse until the evening, otherwise it will be clear. In western Brandenburg, isolated heavy showers and thunderstorms cannot be ruled out. Maximum temperatures will continue to climb to between 31 and 35 degrees.

According to the DWD, it will be partly cloudy at night on the border with Saxony-Anhalt with a slight risk of showers and thunderstorms. Otherwise it will remain cloudless. It will cool down to temperatures between 16 and 19 degrees. (dpa)
