Three people were injured in a basement fire in an apartment building in Fürstenwalde (Oder-Spree district). They were taken to hospital with smoke inhalation, a police spokeswoman said. The fire spread to two basement doors on Monday evening. Firefighters evacuated the residents. It is still unclear why the fire broke out.
