First division football club Union Berlin is coming to a close in the second main round of the DFB Cup. Union coach Bo Svensson’s team will face third division club Arminia Bielefeld on Wednesday, October 30 (8:45 p.m.). The DFB announced the exact date. Union had advanced to the second round with a difficult 1-0 win over regional league club Greifswalder FC.
At 6 p.m., second division team Hertha BSC will be fighting for a place in the round of 16. To do this, they will have to defeat first division team 1. FC Heidenheim in their home Olympic Stadium (6 p.m.). Hertha defeated third division team Hansa Rostock 5-1 in the first round.
The round of 16 will also be played during the week on December 4 and 5. The final is scheduled for May 24, 2025 in Berlin’s Olympic Stadium.
