On September 4-6, the China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) conference will be held in Beijing, in which delegates from about 5 dozen African countries will participate.

Chinese President Xi Jinping has pledged to provide more than $50 billion to Africa over the next three years. Last year, China approved a loan of 4 billion 600 million dollars for African countries.

UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres, who participated in the conference, highly appreciated China’s initiatives for the development of Africa. He said that the debt situation of African countries is unstable and causes social unrest.

As part of the conference, Guterres met with Chinese President Xi Jinping in Beijing.
