Former US president, presidential candidate Donald Trump has announced that if elected, he will appoint his billionaire supporter Elon Musk as the head of the public expenditure audit, who will implement “radical” reforms.
If Trump is re-elected, he promises to create a commission led by the head of X to improve government efficiency.
“These steps can save “trillions of dollars,” the former president said in his speech at the Economic Club of New York.
The richest man in the world supported Democratic President Joe Biden in 2020. From the assassination attempt on Trump later, however, Elon Musk changed his position.
