YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 6, ARMENPRESS. The head coach of the national football team of Armenia, Alexander Petrakov, considers the task before the national team to be one – to win the first place in the League of Nations.
“As of now, the national football team of Armenia does not have a central striker. How do we solve that problem? See you in the upcoming game. There are problems, but we can get out of that situation.”“Armenpress”Petrakov said during the pre-match press conference with journalists.
According to the head coach, the national team is in a positive mood before the tournament.
“We had a meeting with the president of the FFA, during which he spoke about the format of the League of Nations, which is intended for the qualifying round of the World Cup. We have one task: to win. My problem as a coach is the same. It is also our dream,” said the coach.
Petrakov recalled the players’ underestimation of the opponent before the match against Latvia in the previous round, highlighting: “I hope we won’t have such problems this time.”
On September 7, at 20:00, the Armenia-Latvia UEFA Nations League match will take place at the “Republican” stadium named after Vazgen Sargsyan in Yerevan.
