“Armenpress”According to the report, Sisak Gabrielyan, deputy of the “Civil Contract” faction, said this at the session of the Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs of the National Assembly.
“We want to find an area to build a stadium in the city of Ijevan, but we cannot find it. Today, the government has set a goal to build three large stadiums by 2028, one of which has 40,000 seats, we don’t have that space. We are buying the territories from the private sector in order to build the sports centers. The state itself needs territory,” said Gabrielyan.
Let’s remind that Armenia and Georgia applied to FIFA with a joint application to host the 2029 World Youth Championship. The Armenian side announced that three stadiums will be built in different parts of the country to hold the championship.
