PARIS, AUGUST 12, ARMENPRESS. The National Olympic Committee of Armenia appealed to the Appeals Committee of the International Olympic Committee with a complaint regarding the wrestling finals of wrestler Artur Aleksanyan at the Olympic Games.

“Armenpress”According to the report of the correspondent, Karen Giloyan, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications of the Republic of Armenia, said this in a conversation with journalists.

“The appeal process of Artur Aleksanyan and Iranian Mohammadhadhi Saravi in the 97 kg wrestling final at the Olympic Games is at the following stage. The International Wrestling Federation responded in writing that the referees made the right decision. That we are 100 percent right is a fact. The National Olympic Committee of Armenia, attaching the appeal of the Wrestling Federation of Armenia and the response of the International Wrestling Federation, appealed to the Appeals Committee of the International Olympic Committee,” Giloyan said.

According to the latter, the appeals commission of the Olympic Committee, in its first reaction, also asked to present specifically in which episode and what the appeal is against.

“We had cases during the Olympic Games when there was the exact opposite attitude for a similar episode in other wrestling. We are more than sure that Artur Aleksanyan would not have lost that wrestling match. Let the appeals committee decide. We will claim our gold medal until the end, until the last instance, until Lausanne,” he said.
