German flags, purple jerseys and a hint of a folk festival: One day after the 5-0 gala against Hungary, the national football players were celebrated by around 7,000 fans at a public training session. National coach Julian Nagelsmann asked the twelve substitutes to take part in the usual regeneration session in the Paul Janes Stadium in Düsseldorf.

Meanwhile, the starting eleven, including Jamal Musiala and Florian Wirtz, first completed athletic exercises in the team hotel, but then came into the small arena to great cheers from the fans. Autographs were signed and small European Championship balls were shot into the crowd.

The DFB also organized the public training as a thank you for the great support during the European Championships at home in the summer. Nagelsmann gave the national players the afternoon off.

By bus to Amsterdam

After the perfect start to the Nations League on Monday, the DFB team will travel by bus to Amsterdam during the morning. The second match of the UEFA competition will take place there on Tuesday (8.45 p.m./RTL) with the classic match against the Netherlands.
