CUYAHOGA FALLS, Ohio — The Summit County Sheriff’s Office is searching for the driver of a vehicle who struck a woman Friday night following a concert at Blossom Music Center and then left the scene.
A news release from the sheriff’s office says the woman was hit at about 11 p.m. after a performance by singer Avril Lavigne. The woman reportedly was walking along the road near Steels Corners on the way back to her parked car, WKYC Channel 3 reports.
The woman was taken to Cleveland Clinic Akron General Medical Center with serious injuries. The sheriff’s office is now hoping someone who witnessed the incident can help them locate the driver.
“The vehicle that struck her did not stop, they kept going,” Summit County Sheriff Kandy Fatheree tells WKYC. “So they hit her and they kept on going. We really need people, anyone that saw anything, to step forward, give us a call, and help us find who did this.”
