According to an RTL report, the partner of former Formula 1 racing driver Ralf Schumacher is relieved that their relationship was made public. Now, a few weeks later, he feels “a little better,” the broadcaster quoted Schumacher’s friend Étienne Bousquet-Cassagne as saying. As RTL reported, the couple made their comments in a joint interview with presenter Frauke Ludowig.
Ralf Schumacher – brother of seven-time Formula 1 world champion Michael Schumacher – showed himself arm in arm with a man in an Instagram post in July and made his homosexuality public. Making their relationship public was Ralf’s decision, RTL quoted Schumacher’s friend as saying. “I support Ralf, of course, but this was a surprise and I was a bit scared.” Now they have decided together to give the RTL interview.
RTL plans to broadcast the full interview on Sunday (September 15) on “Exclusiv – Weekend” at 5:45 p.m. According to the private broadcaster, Schumacher appeared happy in the interview. RTL quoted the 49-year-old as saying: “I think we are very similar in character, very conservative, very calm, very pleasant. We have the same interests.”
