BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, SEPT 11 – Mosques, suraus and religious halls throughout the country continue to be enlivened with the celebration of Maulidur Rasul, the birthday of the Prophet Muhammad SAW, with readings and prayers for His Majesty for 12 days.
Accordingly, a religious ceremony was held at Istana Nurul Iman surau which was attended by the Permanent Secretary (Welfare and District) of the Ministry of Home Affairs (KHEDN), Awang Abdul Walid bin Haji Matassan.
The ceremony began with a congregational Isyak prayer led by the Mosque Affairs Officer, Haji Mohd Azrol Alim bin Haji Zaini followed by a tazkirah titled Live the Prophet’s Sunnah by Ustaz Mohammad Nasyith bin Superi from the Islamic Dakwah Center.
Next, the prayer was read by Haji Fansuri Sharimi @ Haji Mansur bin Mohd Ali.
Also present were officials and staff from KHEDN, members of the Kilanas Village Consultation Council, students of the Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Al-Quran Tahfiz Institute, and women’s council members.
