One person jumped from a balcony and was seriously injured during an apartment fire in the Spandau district of Wilhelmstadt. The Berlin fire department announced this on Wednesday.
According to reports, the fire broke out during the night in an apartment on the first floor of a six-story residential building on Weverstrasse. Before the emergency services arrived, a person had already jumped from the balcony and was seriously injured. A rescue helicopter took the person to hospital. Firefighters extinguished the fire in a short time.
